Hello, I went to the doctor 3 weeks ago because I've missed a few periods, and he decided that I should take a blood test.
It was all right but he thinks that my missed periods are because of low BMI (19.5, I don't believe it is so low that it would interfere with my periods. I eat very healthy, meat or fish 3 times a week, eggs 2 or 3 times a week and a ton of vegs and fruit everyday) but I really don't think that's the issue because I've never been regular in my life, I've always had long cycles and I haven't lost any weight recently.
I also noted that my TSH level has grow a little (from 2.8 last year to 3.6 this year), could that be the issue? I've always been worried of having hypothyroidism because an aunt of mine has it and I'm always pretty cold and have low body temp and blood pressure. Or could it be something like PCOS?
My hormone levels corresponded to the follicular phase but my last period was the 2nd of July and I took the blood test the 29th of August, so if I'm not wrong I think I haven't ovulated yet.
I made an appointment to the ob/gyn but it isn't until Octuber and I'm a bit worried.
Thank you so much.
