I am 26, Celaic, and its been more that 6 months between periods

I am a 26 year old female, I was diagnosed with celiac disease 3 years ago after 8 years of doctors telling me it was all in my head.  Over this last year I have had BV about 3 times.  I have had one sexual partner for the last 2 years.  I have never had a STD, neither has my boyfriend.  My periods have always been irregular, and I had my first period at the age of 19.
I guess my question is this:

I would like to have an idea of why it has been over 6 months between my irregular periods,
does celiac disease have a part in this,
and will the combination have an effect on my fertility?

Other bits of information:
I have never been pregnant
Have not used protection in 1 1/2
In previous relationship, protection was not used and no pregnancies.

If you aren't on a 100% Gluten Free diet, then CD could be the cause of your period problems. Malnutrition can stop periods. It can also make you infurtile.
Good luck and try to stay as Gluten Free as possible! No cheating!

There's a link between CD and thyroid disorders.  Ask your dr to run a thyroid panel.  Hypothyroidism will cause absent periods.

I'm not sure about all your symptoms, but from what I've read CD and infertility is definitely linked.  Especially if you haven't been following a GF diet.  I'd still use protection though - unless you are ready to have children.  If you & your BF are both clean from STDs and in a monogomous relationship then the main concern should be pregnancy if you're not at that place in your life.
