thinking im pregnant

I had sex probably one day the week before I was supposed to go get my birth control shot. I decided not to get my birth control shot and that was a month and two weeks ago and I still haven't started my period and I took a test a month ago and it said negative. Could I still be pregnant

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you to repeat your home test.  If it is still negative, you are probably NOT pregnant. It could be that you simply had an unusual cycle this month and your periods will return to normal next cycle.  If not, or if you don't want a baby right now, you should probably discuss birth control with your doctor--lots of women are using the Implanon and the Mirena and liking them.  Also, don't forget that emergency contraception is available--Plan B is the name of one product--ask your pharmacist.
Good luck!

Were you periods regular before?  If so, you should take another pregnancy test. You may have taken it too soon after conception.
