Tampons

My daughter is 10 but will be 11 at the end of March.  She started her period in Sept.  Thus far she is wearing pads but we will be going on vacation next month. We will be swimming etc.  Is she too young to wear tampons?  I feel she is but I don't want her to miss out.

Hi!
I would leave that decision up to her!  There is no medical reason why she can't use them--it won't cause any harm to her anatomy.  She may be squeamish about the idea, or she may be all over it!  Take the time to explain the concept to her and see what she wants to do.  Have fun on your vacation!  I am jealous!
