Update to this - I have taken Next Choice shortly after the incident and it has proved effective. Even though I don't believe I needed it, it was still a good plan. I just ended my menstrual cycle which came right on time as expected so no more worrying. :)
Thank you for the input. It was much appreciated.
It would be better for you to use some form of contraception. Though the morning after pill can give you effective solution, however, if you do not like to take pill you may face significant risk for pregnancy. You can take your doctor's help to fond out another solutions.
Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that the morning after pill is only efficacious if used within 120 hours of intercourse. The sooner it is used, the more likely it is to work. Cramping could be due to a variety of causes--it could be caused by PMS, or even by early pregnancy. If you are sexually active without some form of contraception there is significant risk for pregnancy, so you should consider getting some form of contraception if possible--Planned Parenthood is an excellent source for help.
Good luck!
