Vaginal Pain

I have been having a sharp pressure pain in my right vaginal area. At times it feels as if a needle is poking me, mostly a pressure pain  then i will get the urge to urinate and will not be able to hold it. It does not burn to urinate at all. Can any one please help me and try to figure out what this pain may be?

Hi!
Two possibilities come to mind--the first is that you may be having some type of bladder spasm.  This could be due to an infection in the urine--which is easy to check.  If you were my patient, I would start with a urinalysis.
The second is an ovarian cyst.  If your UA was negative, I would do an ultrasound next to check your uterus and ovaries.
Best bet--get a thorough check up "down there" from a good gynecologist!

Good luck!

Hi Zazzyjay,

Welcome to the Pain Management Community. I am glad that you have found us but sorry to hear about your strange pain. Have you seen your PCP? If not please make an appointment to have a clinical evaluation.

There are many things that would be causing this pain but I am not comfortable making wild guesses. Though you are always welcome here you may find better answers on MedHelp's Urology or Gynecology Forum. I think both communities will have more information and suggestions than we can provide given your symptoms. Click on Forums on top of this page and you will find the forums listed in alphabetical order.

Hopefully our members may have more experience or information than I am able to provide. Best of luck to you. I sincerely hope you are able to find some solutions to your pain soon.

Take Care,
Tuck
