C-section 6months ago pregnant again

I am 3months pregnant after having a difficult pregnancy and and a c-section 6months ago. My son was born healthy but my entire pregnancy I was sick and extremly weak. I had to leave work due to attacks of almost passing out and having to layon thefloor. Again I am experiencing all of these symptoms, and am also afraid that I am causing more injury to my scar tissues. Is there a chance my baby will have complications because I did not wait long enough inbetween pregnancies. I have gone to the doctors but have not had any ultrasoundsor have checked for a heartbeat yet.

Hi!
Ideally, its best to wait for 2 years after a c section, but nature usually has other plans!
The most important thing for you is going to be to be certain that you get adequate nutrition.  It is OK to nurse a baby and be pregnant at the same time, so you don't have to stop if you are nursing.  Also, by the end of six weeks, the scar has 95-99% of the strength that it is ever going to have. (Scars are never as strong as normal tissue.)

You will need lots of fluids.  I also recommend a diet a little higher in fats for people with fainting spells.  Sometimes the hypoglycemia (low sugar) can be a factor.  So peanut butter and cheese and nuts are good to keep your sugar level constant.

Also, I recommend at least 1300 mg of Calcium every day as well as extra iron in addition to your prenatal vitamin.

If you are like most moms, you may be a little dismayed at the thought of going through it all over again so soon.  Don't feel guilty if you feel that way--its normal!  Just take good care of yourself.  The second go round is usually easier.

Have you considered the pros and cons of  vaginal birth after C/section?  I would encourage you to do some reading if you have any spare time at all.  (If you have spare time on your hands with a 6 month old, you are amazingly organized and I'm an admirer!)

Good luck!

Hello, Thank you for responding to my question. It was helpful and appreciated. I forgot to mention that during my pregnecy my hemoglobin was very low, they thought i was going to need blood tranfusions, and I also have beta-thala-ceemnia. I was taking iron summplements along with materna. I'm already starting to feel worse than last year at the same time. Thanks alot, take care
