I have had pain in my lower right pelvis that has been getting progressively worse for 6 months. I went to my family Dr. and they sent me for an abdominal/transvaginal ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a complex right hemorhagic ovarian cyst, a left septated cyst, and 2 uterine fibroids, and mild fluid in the cul de sac and endometrial cavity. I was referred to the gynecologist. He did a repeat ultrasound and found no fluid or cyst on the left ovary. The hemorhagic cyst was still there 2 weeks after the original ultrasound. He recommended repeating the ultrasound in a month and a half after i had another cycle. I ended up seeing him on emergency when my cycle came because the pain was so severe. He gave me percocet . He said I would need surgery, either laporoscopically to remove the cyst and right ovary. or a complete hysterectomy. He recommended a complete heyterectomy due to scar tissue from previous abdominal surgeries, and the fibroids. He could not guarantee removing just the cyst and right ovary would alleviate my pain. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy, but the surgery was cancelled due to insurance problems. In the mean time I just started another cycle. I have had severe, sharp, stabbing, right sided pain again that radiates to my right lower back and thigh. I get very shaky and feel nauseous. Aside from abdominal pressure I noticed another symptom this month, I had a sharp pain radiating upward into my abdomen during a bowel movement and urination. These symptoms only appear during my menstrual cycle and about 2 to 3 days before and after the rest of the month I am fine. I have heard these types of cycsts can sometimes go away on their own. What is the likelyhood of that happening being that I have had this about 6 months and the pain is getting worse. I would also like to know are these symptoms normal, and why it bothers me just during my cycle.
