yes, i have had the same problem for years now, and until now no one had been able to tell me what was wrong, i'v been married for 10 yrs now with no babies!! i just recenttly went to a dr n he asked to get some test done like dr. b just said but they are to damm expensive! i just can't afford them!

It sounds to me like you have a hormonal imbalance. If this is something that is a "one time deal" you could just call your doctor for a prescription for progesterone. Taking progesterone for five days will probably start your period. If this happens to you frequently, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In that case, you may want to have some hormonal testing done (I like to check Thyroid Function, Prolactin level, FSH initially) and you may want to discuss a medication to regulate your periods.
Depending upon your wishes, birth control pills can work very nicely to regulate the cycle, even if there is no need for contraception.
