ok results after a colposcopy???

hi, i have 2 questions i hope someone can help me with,1. how often do colposcopy exams come back ok after hpv? and 2. what are my chances of getting pregnant after conization?
i will explain.. last september i was told by my gyn after a pap and colposcopy to confirm that i had pre-cancerous cells due to hpv. (never had bad results in the past and i have 2 kids)
in october i had a conization to cut off
the bad cells. I now have to get a colposcopy every 6 months for 2 years to make sure the cells d'ont come back. i am now in  a month going for my first colposcopy since the treatment and i am starting to get freaked out... i did do some research on hpv and i do know that its a virus BUT  can a women who had pre-cancerous cells get normal pap test if all the bad cells were taken out during treatment?
thanks....

I had a bad pap about 4 years ago and went through the coloscopy, the leap and then some ( I Had HPV).  Sometimes just the leap will work, sometimes they may have not gotten it all because they could not see the changes in the cells in a different area yet, sometimes it has spread farther then they realized and more has to be done.  I went through a whole year.  First the LEAP, then some other laser removal, then went back and abnormal again, had to have day surgery to have small part of the uterus removed, and for 6 treatments after that I had to do a kemo theraputic treatment. (just a cream they use on the cervix and uterus not bad at all)  But 2 months after my last treatment we found out that I was pregnant with my thrid child.  the only concern the doctor had was if my cervix could still hold a full term pregnancy and they can check that for you.  But from my expreience you should have no problems conceiving.

i had a conization with a tool calles a leep.
she cut off a small cone shape were the cells were.
my sister in law had cells a few years aqo and nad some really cold liquid to burn them off.
i read that tyer are a few kind of treatment fot pre-cancerous cells.. from the research i did conization is done when the cells are high in the cervix ans that just the cold liquid treatment for example would not reach.
after i had the treatment my doctor told me they check the cone shape piece they cut out and that if something was whrong they would contact me... if not i would just see her in 6 months for another test..
its FREAKY i never had a bad pap test before..
what treatment did you get??

i have the same problem, from what i understand, if the treatment was effective and the hpv dies then you can and will have normal paps.  i have had 3 co2 vaporizations on my cervix in the last 2 years.  i get a pap every 3 months.  somewhere in that 3 years i have had only 1 normal pap.  hpv is bad in my body though it will not go away and is very aggressive.  what type of surgery did you have to remove your pre-cancerous cells?
