Hi!
Your symptoms are consistent with a yeast infection.  There are test kits available at Walmart and other large pharmacies that can help you determine whether the symptoms are caused by yeast or BV.  You could obtain one of those if you desire.
If it is yeast, its not a bad idea to try an over-the-counter product.  If that isn't helpful, or if you are concerned about STDs it is probably best to visit your doctor;s office.
Good luck!

I would definitely make an appointment with your gyn.  You may have a vaginal infection as well as a urinary tract infection.  I've recently gone through the same thing.  But my doctor didn't test for a urinary tract infection at first despite my complaints.  So I believe I went weeks with a urinary tract infection that should have been diagnosed early in my treatment.  So I would insist on having a urinalysis too if you are experiencing painful urination.  Your doctor will probably request that test, but if not I would insist upon it.  I wish I had.  Good luck.  Don't wait too much longer since a UTI could move up to the kidney and cause complications.
