soreness and sensitivity

I got my first yeast infection back in March.  I went to my gyne and she gave me some medication which took care of it.  I got another one in July and used over the counter drugs to get rid of it.  A few weeks later I got another one that I tried treating again but it didn't work.  I went to the doctor and it turned out to be Bacterial Vaginosis.  Last week I got a UTI and went on antibiotics.  Now, my labia is a little tender but it's not swollen like it was when I had the BV.  I have no itching.  Do I go to the doctor again or do I just wait it out to see if it goes away on it's own?  I am sexually active with my fiance' and was thinking that maybe sex was a factor in my recurring problems.

Hello,

It probably is a good idea to see your physician.  Alternatively, see how you feel in 1-2 weeks, and if not improving, make an office appt.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

I'm also taking BC - Loestrin FE - and I think that may be part of my problem. The symptoms didn't really kick in until after I started taking them, and my body got used to it.  Just a thought...

i am am medical assistiant well i know from first hand that bacterial vaginoisis is not a sexually tramsnmitted deisease but it is an overgrowth of bacteria that grows in dark , moist , place. the bacteria is an anerobic bacteria which can grow without oxygen. so to stop it from coming back you shouldnt use a baby powder, feminie hygiene product or sit in the bath tube you use take showers only because think if you are sitting in hot tube in dirt what are you doing sitting in bacteria. and for a uti you should try to drink plenty of water and try to stay awy from sugary fluid like soda, and greasy food can casuse a uti if you need something flavroy drink crnaberry juice and those same things can cause a bacterial infection. if you eat yogurt you will also reduce the rsik of having bacteria vaginoisis because yougurt has good bacteri in it that is in your vagina but the bv is over growing that bacteria. well i would say go back to the doctor and he will tell you some of the same things i have just told you. good lkuck sweetie.
