Will Propolis affect HIV test result in 7 weeks?

Hi, I have a possible exposure to HIV and it's now 7 weeks passed. I just had a antibody test using the Gen. 3 home test kit (Alere HIV 1/2).

The result comes back -ve. During these 7 weeks, I was having Propolis. My question is:
Will Propolis defer the detection of HIV antibody in these 7 weeks?

I know that antibiotics will not affect the test result but how about Propolis? I read online that some people claim that Propolis does suppress HIV effects on body and produce less antigen. Also, Propolis has some anti-tumor effect, which could be like chemo?

I wish to hear what the doctors say, and if there is anything to back the claim? Thanks a lot.

Hello,
Thank you fro your post.
As far as I know, there is no proven evidence that Propolis affects the replication of the virus or the antibody production.  Therefore I do not believe that the reliability of your test would have been compromised by this.  However your negative test, even though highly reassuring, cannot be considered conclusive.  Current guidelines recommend that this test would be conclusive after 12 weeks.
Kind regards,
Dr José
