hello

Hello I had a short ( 2-3 times 10-15 second  each )  oral licking to my anus in a massage parlour . So i was the receiver of the of oral sex. I have put my finger into her vagina few times. I have tested negative for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea   24 days after that.  I had recently trush  ( white spot on the tongue ) in my mouth and i am a bit concerned . Do you think i should stop worrying.
thanks

Thank you Dr. for your reply. I have failed to mention that  I had the anal swab for Gonorrhoea . This has also tested negative . In this case i will go and repeat the syphillis at 12 weeks.

I understand your comment about HIV. Very reassuring. May i ask nevertheless what would be the precision range of a 24 days HIV test. thanks .

Hello,
There was no risk of HIV infection in the first place.  Vaginal fingering and being rimmed would not pose this risk at all whatsoever.
The only potential risk might have been anal Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, possibly syphilis, but I think that they are quite unlikely here.  In order to exclude these, you would require an anal swab.  An egative syphilis test at 24 days, even though highly reassuring and relaible, cannot be considered conclusive.  Having said that, I think it would be highly unlikely too.
Best wishes,
Dr José
