I anticipate your results, both now and in two weeks will be negative. Take care. EWH
Thank you for your answer. I have already informed the two partners i may have got it from or given it to.
Waiting for my results.
And if the test turns out negative I will get a new at 4 weeks, as you mention.
The episode in Singapore was with a 21 year old student from Korea.
Welcome to The Forum. I'll be pleased to comment. Your risk for HIV is relatively low and certainly lower than your risk for chlamydia which is both much more common than HIV and much easier to catch if exposed. HIV rates in Singapore, like elsewhere vary in terms of who your partners are but in general they are not excessively high.
With regard to your question about the time it is taking to get your test results, in general chlamydia tests are done at different locations than HIV tests and on different schedules. I would not worry at his time about the fact that your chlamydia test results were available before your HIV results. I would point out however to provide you with all of the facts that typically HIV DUO test results are not conclusive until 4 weeks after an exposure. thus while I anticipate that your HIV tests will be negative and that you should consider this strong evidence that you did not get HIV from either of these exposures, the results are not yet conclusive.
Finally, I hope you will do your best to inform both partners of your chlamydia diagnosis. You do not know which partner you were infected by and it is unlikely that they are aware that they are infected. EWH
I know I have to wait for my results, but how common is hiv in singapore? I have informed my partner, now in hollidays in Korea about the chlamydia, and if she have tested for sti included hiv reasently.
