Chances of infected HIV by my partner?

Dear Doctors:
Sorry for my poor English, i'm a gay man from Malaysia. Two months ago my partner has been tested for HIV possible. We always practicing unprotected sex at every time. He is top, I'm the bottom (Receiver) for every time. That's mean I have been high risk exposure to HIV don't know how many times! After that I start begin to my HIV tests insanity: 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 8 weeks, 9 weeks.
All the blood tests are performed by a pathology named Gribbles. it's a pathology from Australia. And the testing method is using HIV 1 and 2 Ab/Ag based on CMIA Principle, all the tests are come out negative.
My local clinic's doctor told me that I have to wait until 3 to 6 months. After that I called to this Gribbles pathology to confirm, the customer support told me that the window period is 6 months to 1 year. So, my questions are:

1. Do I still have the chance to get the HIV after I was practicing so many high risk sexual activities with my partner? My last time exposure at 19th of Fed.

2. Do I really need to test at 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after the last exposure?

3. Can I trust all my tests preformed by this pathology named Gribbles from Australia? Because the test I took from local clinic, they just cost me Malaysia Ringgit RM35 (Just about $10 US Dollar). Why this HIV test is so cheap? Is this all tests are reliable and accurate because of the price?

4. What is means by this "HIV 1 & 2 Ab/Ag screening assay is performed based on CMIA Principle"?

5. I have been taken two tablets, one is sleeping pill and anti-anxiety pill for every single night from two moths ago. Is this medicine will slow down the Window Period.

6. I'm a Malaysia Chinese, is that any different Window Period from different race?

Your sincerely,
guyfrommalaysia

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment. I agree with you as well that your exposures were high risk. As I understand it however, it is now more than 9 weeks since your last exposure and you have had repeated negative CMIA Ag/AB tests are 4,6,7, and 9 weeks since then.  If that is the case, you can be confident that you were not infected. I am unaware of any persons who have been tested with these tests more than 4 weeks after exposure who have positive tests.

I suspect your doctor is being conservative in his recommendations for you and I cannot blame him given the high risk nature of your exposures but at his time there is no reason to think that your past exposures will lead to HIV.

In answer to your specific questions:
1. Do I still have the chance to get the HIV after I was practicing so many high risk sexual activities with my partner? My last time exposure at 19th of Fed.
See above.  There is almost no realistic chance that you will have positive tests from these exposures.

2. Do I really need to test at 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after the last exposure?
I think your doctor is being conservative and I do not see a need for further testing related to these past exposures.

I cannot comment on this lab or the cost.  If they are a licensed lab the results are reliable.

4. What is means by this "HIV 1 & 2 Ab/Ag screening assay is performed based on CMIA Principle"?
This is the DUO test.  These tests typically become positive by 4 weeks after exposure.

5. I have been taken two tablets, one is sleeping pill and anti-anxiety pill for every single night from two moths ago. Is this medicine will slow down the Window Period.
No, these should have no effect on your test results.

6. I'm a Malaysia Chinese, is that any different Window Period from different race?
no

I hope these comments are helpful. Please practice safe, condom protected sex in the future. EWH

Dear Doctor:

Sorry I ask the last last two questions again for my poor English understating.
Because I don't really understand what do you mean by this sentence "When symptoms and test results disagree, believe the test results"? Is this mean that once the HIV symptoms is presenting, the HIV antibody test will always become detectable when I do the HIV test?

I already called my local clinic's doctor and asked he about my HIV test. But he doesn't know about the testing method. Just keep asking me come back at 3 months and 6 months. So what if the HIV test I did just a normal antibody test? Not a 4th generation test? How long it will be accurate and consider conclusive at all for a normal HIV test? Hope do reply my message. Thanks very much, this will help me to get peace of my mind.

Your sincerely

Thanks for your reply. Please answers my last two questions

1. After close to 2 weeks, I started Night Sweat, having pain in the back some of the time, Dry Mouth and thirsty too. After 6 weeks more I come out some symptoms like Skin Sensitive on my left leg, an it very itch, Stomachache continuous at least 4 days, and one red spot look likes insect bite and itch too. Is this symptoms are related to HIV?

2. Can I really go on with my life without any worries? Since I had been exposure so many high risk sexual activities.

Thanks very much.

Doctor, please help me with my situation, I'm now pretending looks normal in front of my family and friends and live in the hell for every single day and second, I don't how long can I hold this? I totally lost my mind and cannot do everything even my job because of thinking I've been infected HIV by my partner.

I trusted my partner so much. He said he totally got no idea when and how he got infected. He cried whole day, I was just shocked by him. I don't know how can I go on with my rest of my life?
