Dominatrix Session

I recently visited a dominatrix who facesat me during our session. The facts are as follows;

There was a distinct disinfectant / soap smell on the woman, which hopefully means that she has cleanliness in mind.

My nose and mouth were exposed to her vagina and ***, but both were seemingly quite dry. I did not feel fluids passing into my mouth.

I used my tongue but did not probe deeply.

My principal concern is that I bit my lower lip due to her downward pressure and movement, which left a mark and small pinpricks of blood, which I noticed later on.

I should be grateful for you advice, as I am extremely worried. Thankyou.

I should be grateful for your opinion as to teh level of risk

I repeat from above - "Neither of us on this site have ever seen or reading the medical literature of a convincing instance in which HIV was passed by oral sex."  Never means never. I will not waste your time or mine commenting on the occasional reports on the internet.  Most of those that are there are out of date and not documented

Precisely what proportion of people have the symptoms of early HIV is not clear but certainly there are people who have gotten HIV without symptoms. when persons have symptoms of early HIV however, fever is a prominent part of their illness.

Try to relx.  EWH

Thankyou for your clarification regarding fever. I have been checking myself 3 times a day with a thermometer and have not gone above 37.5 - mostly at 37.0, or below.

I had a rash on the sides of my abdomen, which I think I can put down to a heat rash from travelling by car for 5 hours, or from drinking too much alcohol on the weekend.

I am very sorry for persisting with the question about risk level with cunnililingus, its just that I have no one I can turn to on this, and am extremely worried. I will not continue with this line of questions any more.

I very much appreciate your answers to date - Thankyou !!!

Hi Doctor,

Sorry to bother you again, its just that, despite your firm belief that my exposure presents a low risk  I am still terrified and am constantly checking myself for symptoms, with 10 days past since my exposure, and waiting to take the first test.

I should be extremely grateful if you would please provide answers to the following questions.

I have read that only a few cases of HIV + diagnosis have been diagnosed from oral sex exposure. Do you know if any of these cases were from cunnilingus, or were they all as a result of fellatio?

My understanding is that with approx 30-35 % of HIV+ diagnosis  there are no early symptoms at all, and that in the rest of the cases (65 75%) a very high percentage (I read 95 %) of those diagnosed HIV+ confirmed that they had fever as an early symtom.

I thankyou once again in anticipation of your response. I think I need to take some vallium!!!

Yes, testing at 4 weeks (28 days) would detect about 90% of recently acquired HIV infections, dramatically shifting the odds of being infected, if there were any to start with.  EWH

Thanks for your answers,

I don´t doubt your answers, and in fact I would evidently prefer to go with this forums opinion that unprotected cunnilingus is safe.

I, like many others that are seeking advice / comfort am obsessing with the thought that one stupid mistake could have ruined my life and my family.

Due to my nervous state I am thinking of testing at 25 days, regardless of wether syptoms occur, or not. I know that this period of time is not conclusive, but I understand that this cuts down the odds of you showing positive at 3 months - is this correct ??

Many thanks for taking time to reply.

1.  The sort of event you refer to is hearsay and as I said, we do not get into debates with other internet sites.  Our recommendations are based on the published scientific data and information which we obtain at scientific meetings.  I would however remind you of the power of the internet not only to inform but also to mislead.  While there is much useful information available on the internet, much of it is also taken out of context or a bit unbalanced and some of it is just plain wrong.  You'll have to decide who you wish to believe.

2.  Yes contact with soap would reduce virus viability and risk.

3.  The precise timing of transmission is unclear however we do know that efforts to prevent transmission must be taken within 72 hours of exposure.

I read on another forum of a gay man who had oral sex and swallowed the cum of the partner. He has been diagnosed as HIV+. He swears that he only had oral sex and from the confused tone of his posting I think that this probably true.

It is a very worrying time waiting for the window period to pass to get a conclusive test result and all sorts of thoughts go through your head - even more so when you read cases like the one above, which makes you less convinced of the risk level of oral sex.

In my particular case (facesat by dominatrix) - if the woman had applied a disinfectant soap, as stated in my original posting, would this considerably reduce the risk.

Finally, if a person does contract HIV, how quickly would this trasmit, subsequently to a partner ? - 12 hours? 24 hours ? 48 hours ?

I much appreciate the guidance that you experts provide on this forum - without it I am sure that we would all be in the mental hospital.

Thanks.

Welcome to our Forum.  The activities you describe did not put you at risk for HIV.  They are essentially oral sex.  First, it is statistically unlikely that your partner had HIV, Even if she did, the quoted figure for HIV risk, if one has oral sex with an infected partner is less than 1 in 10,000 and, in my estimation that is too high. Some experts state there is no risk at all from oral sex.  Neither of us on this site have ever seen or reading the medical literature of a convincing instance in which HIV was passed by oral sex.  This is the case even if you ingested small amounts of her blood.  EWH
