The duo test is easily available nationwide, including NYC (and elsewhere in the state).  All your doctor needs to do is investigate either of the national labs which have local labs all over the country (Quest, Labcorp).  Or you can easily find an online lab broker with link to a local lab.

Hi doctor I am still having some anxieties about this exposure and water to get tested I see you say that a duo test would be conclusive after 28 days as this test is not available in New York as far as I know would taking 2 separate tests An hiv rna test and a standard antibody test have the same reliability

I already said you don't need testing; re-read my original reply.  You can safely continue sex with your wife.

Welcome to the forum.

Responding first to the title of your question:  Activities in a strip club never transmit HIV, unless (just like anywhere else) there is unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  And certainly HIV is not transmitted through clothing or by hand-genital contact, even if genital fluids are used for lubrication.

Therefore, I agree with the succinct response you had on the community forum:  even if the stripper had HIV (which she probably did not), you were not at risk.  You don't need PEP -- you don't even need HIV testing on account of this event.  Don't worry about it.

Best wishes-- HHH, MD
