Very Anxious

Dear Doctors,

Right now i am still in stress and panic while i am writing this question.

The last HIV test i had was back in 2012 May and i got negative, after this , i had sex with a prostitute in Bosnia with a condom in 2012 December, but as i had asked a question 6 months ago , condom was expired and i dont even know if it was a good condom or  natural (non std barrier) which i dont know , natural condoms dont protect.

After this incident i had also sex on 2013 May with a girl in USA protected insertive vaginal sex , only had insertive oral sex unprotected,

2 months ago i had also fingered another girl in her vagina.

The most fearing thing is the Bosnian incident which puts lots of question marks on me and freaks me out , which i cant sleep and eat and always search on the internet and sometimes i am thinking of death and what will happen to my life.

This incident was back in 2012 december so nearly 12 months ago , since these i had some health issues.

I have black lines in nails which i google splinter haemorrhages , it comes and go on thumbs,
I  had also Papular pruritic eruptions 3 months ago for 4 weeks, it healed it self.I was on vacation in Florida, all these bumps appeared on my arms and chest.

Last week i went to family doctor for acnes on beard and she gave me clindamycine , for the last 1 week , i have dandruff on face , beard, nose and eyebrows and even on hair ,i dont know if it s the side effect of clindamycine,or she gave me clindamycine for dandruff which i didnt know.

I know you will tell me to get tested, which i am planning but cant find the power and always fearing of getting positive and losing all my loved ones and my life ,

today is my birthday but i couldnt even sleep last night only 1 hour.

I am trying to find the power for to get tested, and your answer will help since it will at least stop the worries if they are and give me the power to get tested.
On WHO website it says

It isn't anger -- just trying to be helpful by knocking some sense into your frightened head.  No matter what symptoms you have had, they would not change my opinion or advice.  Most important, it is obvious that anything I can say will not help your anxiety at all.  The only thing likely to do that is the negative result you can expect once you have been tested.

I would enjoy providing some final reassuring words after you post an HIV test result.

See above.  And I suggest you stop searching the web about HIV symptoms. Like many anxious people you are misinterpreting almost everything.

Welcome to the forum.

The reason for limit of 2,000 characters (about 400 words) is to require the entire question to fit in the initial window.  The moderators can't be expected to read such long essays!  I have not seen and do not plan to look at the parts that followed those above.  Fortunately, there is plenty of information above for a reply that is accurate and, I hope, helpful.

As you were told by Dr. Hook, the expiration date on the condom is irrelevant. An outdated one has an increased risk of breakage -- but if that doesn't happen, protection is just as good as with any other condom.  So your exposure was risk free.  Your symptoms do not sound like HIV.

But the key information here is that you apparently have not had an HIV test.  Do it.  Your comment about finding "the power to be tested" is nonsense.  I have no patience with not being tested for fear of the result.  It isn't the test that gives someone HIV.  You have it or you don't, and if you do, you have to know in order to receive life-extending medical care. In addition, when people delay testing and finally do it, stress and anxiety decline, even if the result is positive.  The worry and wonder are more stressful than learning of a positive result.  And anyway, based on all the available information, there is no way you have HIV and you can expect your test to be negative.

Once you are tested, feel free to return with a follow-up comment to let me know the result.  However, I will have no further comments or advice of any kind until then and will delete any follow-up comments except with a test result.

Regards--  HHH, MD

On WHO website it says

Clinical stage 2 symptomps
Moderate and unexplained weight loss (<10% of presumed or measured body weight)
Recurrent respiratory tract infections (such as sinusitis, bronchitis, otitis media, pharyngitis)
Herpes zoster
Recurrent oral ulcerations
Papular pruritic eruptions
Angular cheilitis
Seborrhoeic dermatitis
Onychomycosis (fungal nail infections)

,,,,

Since i am in 1 years since the possible transmission , am i in the stage 2 right now , or is too early for these symptomps to appear,

Is splinter haemorrhages related to hiv?

Dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis , i know it s common in normal people and hiv pozitive people which i read on a website 3% on common population and 80% in hiv + population,

Could dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis related to clymdacine antibiotic that i am taking or smth else or hiv,

Would i show other signs besides this if i had hiv and would these symptomps be more severe or could it be just mild. Can you let me know which signs would be those?

Please let me know Doctor, i apologize for sounding like a freak but i have no choice , i am so worried and your answers could be the best gift that i can recieve for my birthday.

Many Thanks
