There is no meaningful risk for hepatitis B or C from the exposure you describe either. EWH
I am not sure if I managed to send my follow-up message technically right so let me try again.
Just wanted to make sure that your no risk meant in my scenario also no risk with regard to hep c hep b too. The csw in question is from Estonia or Russia in which hiv and hepatitis b and c figures are high among csw's (partly due drug using)
My hiv risk is zero I know by now, but is it also the case with hep b and c. Scenario went: touched contaminated doorknob and then picked my nose A Lot. I will end this thread after your advice.
Hi. You helped me to overcome my hiv anxiety. Just one question and then I won't disturb you anymore.
The CSW in this incident was either from Russia or Estonia and they and many of CSW's and among them hepatitis figures are known to be quite high.
Do I need to worry about hep b or hep c? I strongly think that I do not, but just need this expert opinion.
Thanks a lot. No more question. Promised.
Thanks a lot. That helped a lot. I forget this now, move on, and do not visit CSWs ever in my life even though the risk in above described scenario is non-existent.
Welcome to our Forum. I know from reviewing your earlier post that you do tend to worry a lot about the possibility of HIV and other STDs. I can assure you however that the events you describe did not put you at any risk whatsoever for HIV or for other STIs. HIV and other STIs require DIRECT contact for transmission to occur and are not transmitted from person to person as the result of transfer of infectious material such as contaminated doorknobs. Further, I should likewise point out that even transfer of genital secretions from person to person on someone's hands as might occur with mutual masturbation does not lead to infection either.
There is no reason for concern and you do not need testing. Take care. EWH
