Welcome to our Forum. You have no reason for concern. HIV is not transmitted in urine. I say this categorically so, unless you had penetrative sex with either of the partners you mention, your activities did not put you at risk. this is true even if there was blood in their urine. With this as background, let me address your questions:
1. Zero. On the other hand. many of the viruses which cause colds and flu-like illness are present in urine. your illness may have been related to this or may have been something that you caught in your normal activities of daily living.
2. "ARS symptoms" are the symptoms of any typical viral illness. The symptoms of the ARS are TOTALLY non-specific and when people experience "ARS symptoms" they are much more likely to have something else, usually some other, more typical virus infection. When this has been studied in the US, less than 1% of persons seeking medical care for "ARS symptoms" are found to have HIV, the remainder having symptoms due to other processes. In contrast, over a given year, there is almost no one who has not had a viral illness, night sweats or both (sometimes on multiple occasions). For a person to try to judge their HIV risk based on "ARS symptoms" is a waste of time.
3. Believe you test results - they prove that you do not have HIV. Your test results also prove that you did not get HIV from the second encounter either. HIV antibody tests are completely accurate at any time more than 8 weeks after exposure.
4. As I read you dates, no need for further testing.
I hope my comments are helpful to you. EWH
thank you for the fast reply
i have 2 things that i want to understand from what you wrote:
1. you said that my test results also prove that i did not get HIV from the second encounter either
how is that?
i took the test only month after the second encounter
isn't it too early?
2. you said that my activities did not put me at risk. this is true even if there was blood in their urine
why is that?if blood from their urine come in contact with my eyes there is not a theoretical risk?
thanks
Sorry, I mis-read your dates. At 4 weeks the tests would detect about 90% of infections. Nonetheless, if your encounter did not involve penetrative sex, it was no risk to you for HIV, even in the unlikely situation that your partner had HIV (most commercial sex workers do not have HIV)
As I said before, the presence or absence of blood in the urine would not change the fact that the exposure you describe did not put you at risk for HIV. Even if it came in contact with your eye. EWH
thanks again
so regarding my third question from my early post
i understand that For a person to try to judge their HIV risk based on "ARS symptoms" is a waste of time. but i must ask you:
does the symptoms i had FROM THE 26.9 match ARS symptoms?
26.9 (3 days after finish the antibiotic medicine) sore throat infection returned and my right neck lymph node started to swollen again had fever 37.8c
27.9 the 2 lymph nodes on my neck very swollen ,fatigue, throat painful, fever gone
29.9 still fatigue, sore throat gone, left lymph node decreasing
since than still have fatigue come and go
left lymph node quite small but still a little swollen
right lymph node still very swollen
no other lymph nodes swollen
during all that time the lymph node are quite hard and sensitive to touch (sometime I think they a little painful)
The symptoms you have represent some of the symptoms of the ARS but not all. They are also entirely none-specific.
It appears that you are having trouble accepting that you are not at risk for HIV and perhaps my answers are just fueling your anxieties. Rather than to continue this post, it is now time to end the thread. Further anxiety driven questions will be deleted without comment. EWH
