concerned

Have seen 4 escorts (2 times with the same escort) over the last 6 months (really stupid of me i know since these are high risk encounters). Also, engaged with multiple deep kissing with females I met in the pub (not escorts). Yes, I have been sexually active but plan on getting married now and stay loyal with my partner. I am from Seattle and all these incidents happened in Seattle. I am a heterosexual male and do not use any drugs.

Here is a brief description on the sexual intercourse -
I have had protected oral (given to me) and protected vaginal intercourse with all 4 escorts. For the last intercourse which happened over a week back, , I had cuts (bruises)  on my penis (happened due to excessive rubbing during masturbation). Also, I orally licked the last partner's  body (not oral sex however.) To the best of my knowledge I do not think the condom broke. She wore condom on her hand and fingered my anus for over 2 minutes as well.

All 4 escorts repeatedly assured me that they get routinely tested and are STD/HIV free - but my paranoia is getting the best of me.

The first three exposures have been like 3 months back while last one was roughly 7-8 days ago. I have not had any symptoms from the first 3 exposures. For the last exposure it is too early for any symptoms.

I am very concerned - Could I have contracted HIV or any other STD and should I get tested? Any response and  advice is highly appreciated. Now that I am getting married, I really want to be sure if I have not contracted anything because of my stupidity over the last 6 months and thereby, move on with my life.

Thanks for the comments - really helpful. I will take your advice and rest in peace and move on. I know it is kind of repetitive of me to ask - Does that mean I can have unprotected sex with my 'to be wife'? From your reply above I know the answer is yes BUT a reassurance from your end will help.

Thanks again for the  efforts you and Dr. Handsfield take on this forum - it is a very valuable contribution to the society.

Welcome to our Forum. None of the exposures you describe have placed you at risk for HIV or, for that matter for other STDs either.  In addition to their statements to you (glad to hear you asked, that was a good thing to do), the fact is that most commercial sex workers do not have HIV. Even if they did, HIV is not spread by kissing (including deep kissing) or condom protected sex of any sort.  Further, you can be confident that your condom id not break- when condoms fail they break wide open leaving no doubt that they have failed.

In terms of the exposures you describe, as I said, there is no risk an you do not need testing.  If you feel you need testing for your own peace of mind, the Seattle King County STD Clinic is world famous for the quality of the care it provides.

I hope my comments are helpful and reassuring.  EWH
