Thanks for the comments - really helpful. I will take your advice and rest in peace and move on. I know it is kind of repetitive of me to ask - Does that mean I can have unprotected sex with my 'to be wife'? From your reply above I know the answer is yes BUT a reassurance from your end will help.
Thanks again for the efforts you and Dr. Handsfield take on this forum - it is a very valuable contribution to the society.
Welcome to our Forum. None of the exposures you describe have placed you at risk for HIV or, for that matter for other STDs either. In addition to their statements to you (glad to hear you asked, that was a good thing to do), the fact is that most commercial sex workers do not have HIV. Even if they did, HIV is not spread by kissing (including deep kissing) or condom protected sex of any sort. Further, you can be confident that your condom id not break- when condoms fail they break wide open leaving no doubt that they have failed.
In terms of the exposures you describe, as I said, there is no risk an you do not need testing. If you feel you need testing for your own peace of mind, the Seattle King County STD Clinic is world famous for the quality of the care it provides.
I hope my comments are helpful and reassuring. EWH
