posible symptoms?

Hello Doctor,,

, I have read the forum and found out that my posible exposure was very low risk, maybe almost no risk.
still I am very nervous about it and planing to test my self,,I have also read not to try to base anything on symptoms but I would still like your opinion on this symptoms and if they suggest anything to you.
I read a lot of questions and answers about symptoms but everyones symptoms are different, in what they are and on timing.
Ok symptoms were as follow.
3rd day after posible exposure,,,  started with a little cough,, 4rd day  a little chest congestion a little more cough,,, 5th day  cough, although not a lot,,,,   6th day cough,, fever in the afternoon,,and night sweats,,, 7th day less cough, congested nose, 8th day,,, less cough, maybe a little runny nose  9th day till today 14th day,, very little cough,, just like sporadic remaining cough.

What do you think about this symptoms doctor?  no other thing that I had noticed, no pain, no swollen lympnodes, no troath pain, or anything else I had noticed.

Also If I do get tested,,,what would be the accuracy at 3, 4 or 6 weeks?

Thank you Doctor,, your time and help is greatly appreciated

No unprotected vaginal or anal sex means no risk for HIV.  It is not possible to catch HIV from the sorts of contact you describe.

That's all for this thread. I won't have any further comments.  You may not start a new thread on this topic either.

Hello Doctor

I have been trying not to ask anymore about this as i have seen you never base anything on symptoms or what if questions,, still even though I have seen answers that might apply to my case, and I think it is a very low or no risk exposure ,I would apreciate if you can give me your risk assesment about my specific case, as the cough has gone away but the last 3 days I had some throat pain that doesnt let me forget about it.

I went to a lap dance, got a private dance, the dancer took the top of only and kept what was the bottom part of a bathing suit,,, she took my pants down and my penis out of my boxers,,,she danced and sat on my legs and over my penis, she rubbed against my legs and penis,, not looking my way but looking  the other way,, then in one of the times she bent , I saw blood on her bathing suit,,, i asked her about it and she said she was sorry that she was menstruating,,, I checked and saw no blood neither on my leg or my penis, neither cuts or anything, I am not sure if the tip of my penis or my penis  came in contact with the blood stain as I think she mainly rubbed her butt against it but I can not be sure, and its probable my penis touched the blood stain,, I am  sure she sat on my leg and rubbed for a while.

what do you think of this posible exposure and my throat pain?

Thank you very much again Doctor,, reading your forum has helped me a lot not to worry in almost risk free situations,, as you can notice it is when this situations get together with what I imagine can posibly be ars symptoms that I get anxious.
Please just let me get one thing off my mind,,, here you say this symptoms dont really suggest anything,,, just want to confirm for what I read that also the timing of the symptoms starting 3 days after posible exposure,,it would be to soon for what I have read,, Am I right?

Welcome back to the forum.  But I have little to say that you don't already know. You described a similar situation last July.

In general, ARS does not cause cough. You don't say the nature of your exposure, but if it was as low risk as you imply, then you can be very sure your symptoms aren't due to HIV.  More likely you caught a cold.

We discussed reliability of testing at various times after exposure during your last thread.  It also has been addressed innumerable times on this forum and undoubtedly you have seen many of those threads.  Nothing has changed.  Given your very low risk and symptoms that don't suggest, I don't really recommend testing at all, on medical grounds.  If you need negative test results for the reassurance it will give you, have a single antibody test in about 6 weeks.
