still confused

Hello Doctor H, I will try to be as brief as possible. I was tested at 3,6 months negative elisa, and 9 months negative with rapid blood test. My problem is I still have cloudy head, constant pain in my ears, pain in my upper thigh area on both legs with my legs at times feeling "numb", and constant dry spots on my tongue and throat , with an occasional canker sore. My gp says even with the negative hiv tests I have had it does not rule hiv out.My question is would'nt a negative test out to 9 months rule hiv out completely 100%? I even had a negative pcrdna test at 1 month and 6 weeks, so even if there was a possibility of not producing antibodies would the pcrdna test (i realize most people do not reccomend these test as they have a higher false positive rate) not rule out that possibility also? Also I had 1 pimple like bump in my pubic area( I am a male) that did not hurt it just looked like a zit (a hard little white head), I popped it and it has pretty much gone away , does that sound like herpes? The only other activity i have had since the test was a protected "bj" and sucked on a womans breasts for a few minutes. These two activies would it be possible to get anything at all from these? I am very concerned about the validity of the hiv test absolutely ruling out hiv, as my wife is now pregnant and if god forbid I did pass hiv on to her I would like the benefit of being able to get proper medication for her and our unborn baby to help reduce the risk. I appreciate your patience as I am sure you get questions like these all the time.My questions would be
1.Can I say without a doubt I absolutely do not have hiv after the tests I have taken?
2.With as much at stake is there anything further I could do to make sure?
3.With the symptoms I am experiencing is it possible I have not produced antibodies yet,and do these sound like hiv issues?
4.The last occurence protected oral"bj" and sucking on her breasts, would have no chance of catching anything that way?
5. Does the "pimple I describe sound like a herpes soar or just an ingrown hair?
All of these tests wre not over the protected "bj" this happened after all the tests, Although when I had recived my 9 month negative for the first occurence, it had been 6 weeks for the protected"bj" and that test was negative. Thank you for all you do. i apologize for rambling on , but with my wife pregnant it has scared the **** out of me.

sparkeler said it well.  You need to worry more about avoiding risks that actually have a chance of harming you, like being hit by a meteorite.

Hey doc, i was just checking to make sure you said as long as I had not hany any potential exposures since my last test there is no way I couls have hiv.The only other exposure I had was sucking on a womans breast and receiving a protected bj that only lasted for maybe 30 seconds. Could this in any way be a risk for anything? I hate to sound stupid I really just do not know. Thanks for your time.

thank you doctor for your quick response, not to sound stupid but inbetween my last negative result , I received protected oral"bj" and sucked on her breast. Is either of these a risk for hiv or any std? I am sorry if i sound stupid , i really just do not know. Thanks for understanding.

1. Yes No, No, No, Yes- Ingrown hair

You don't have hiv. You have ruled out the possibility by taking a dna pcr test and elisa both 1 month apart.

Your HIV Negative.  The 3 month test was enough I rekcon.

I had one today at 6 weeks and was told don't do anymore due to the "risk" type of sex I had which was just oral.  See your local doc but your not HIV.

To be honest, after I read the first sentence, I merely skimmed the rest.  Compared to negative test results--especially as long as 9 months after the last possible exposure--symptoms simply are meaningless as an indicator for or against HIV infection.  So are all possible exposure types:  you could tell me you had receptive anal sex with a known HIV positive partner and it would not change this reply.  Assuming you haven't had more recent possible exposures, you simply cannot have HIV.  Period, full stop, nothing more to say.  Something else explains your symptoms.  If you cannot shake your fears--which are purely emotional, not rational--consider seeking mental health counseling.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
