Has anyone had a oral yeast infection for so long?

Hello All.. just had a 5 month 1 week negative HIV test..still some symptoms ..but i fianlly believe my hiv negative result.. i needed this test.. to finally put my mind at ease as i had a very high exposer..and all the symptoms of ARS i mean all that even my doctor was  alittle worried..anywasy i have a question has any one ever had oral candia infection of the mouth and throat for so long..its been 6 months and i still have it..my doctor put me on sporanox today alittle scared of it as i hear the side effects can be dangerous has anyone ever taking it??..i was on something more mild but it didnt work..my neck is still burning and skin an head and server headaches all the time not quite sure what it is but my doctor is sending me to a whole bunch of new test..hopefully i will get to the bottom of it soon..any advice or comments on my question would be great thanks

A little knowledge has certainly gone a long way.

Oral thrush IS a defining symptom of AIDS but not of exposure.   For most people, oral thrush would not show up for TEN YEARS after contracting the virus (for some it can come a LITTLE earlier).  If you are getting thrush a few months after exposure, it is NOT from that exposure.  

For me, oral thrush was what sent me to the doctor to get tested.   I had canker sores so badly that I could not eat.  By the time I got all my numbers back my immune system was severely compromised to the point where it allowed the fungus to grow.  

HOWEVER I WAS PROBABLY UNDIAGNOSED FOR 5-10 YRS BEFORE IT GOT TO THAT POINT.

As my immune system rebuilt, the thrush went away.  In the meantime, I used a tea tree mouthwash that I saw recommended.  It migth have helped a little but, but it tasted so bad that Iw ill never use it again.

yeah I ve got kind of whitish coated tounge , for nearly a month(2 months after my risky contact)
and i ve got all other sign of being infected by HIV, like coated tounge,feeling chilled,weakness,night sweating,swelling lymph in my neck . . .

i did HIV test at 6 weeks and it was Neg,but I am kind of sure in 12 months will return Pos...

It is unfortunate that they we find ourselves in this situation. However, I find this forum to be better than my personal physician.  Heaven forbidden if I really get sick.  Thank you all for your input.  I even had someone respond to me with a remedy.  I think you all should look up candida.  I know my condition is controlled by my diet.   I have a CT and a MRI schedule for the end of June and the middle of July.  I am keeping you guys in my Prayers!

I had my 13 weeks tested this passed Thursday but no result yet-sometime this coming week.  I also found that I had streptococcus bacteria that cause my throat to be sore and the tongue.  I"m taking medication now.  I hope that is the cause of my symptoms

I am having similar symptoms. However, after four months, I am now having a serve burn in my ensophogus, just above my chest.  I have had two tongue sores in the past two weeks.  However, I have had five HIV test come back negative over this four month period with the last one being this past week.  My neck hurts, my underarm hurts, my groin hurts.  How do I get a test for candia infection.  The doctors and Whitman Walker clinic all keep re affirming that I do not have HIV even after losing 12 lbs with in the first month after my possible exposure.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been tested for all STDs.  They all came back negative.  Something is definitely going on with my body, not mental either.  I'm serious about this thing to point I am inserting my e-mail pisces_1970***@****

Yes, I do.  Still have it for two and a half months now.  I took 3 difficuan(spell), no sugar, and eat yogurt.  It got much better but not completely gone yet.  Also, I have tiny bumps on the back of my neck too just like yours.  It is more like sore pimpos.  It subsided after two weeks.  I will test next week for my 13th weeks.  Let me know, what yours dr. finds.  I need to know.  I might have caught a disease from this sex worker.  Who knows what they have cause so many men used it including stupid of me.  Thanks.
