Undetected virus

Been diagnosed 8 years ago with HIV, taking ARVs religiously and now when i went to do my 6 monthly check, the results were negative and the virus undetected. Is it gone or must go test again?

I TOO AM UNDETECTABLE AND NO YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE HIV BUT THE BETTER YOUR NUMBERS ARE THE BETTER YOU LIVE AND THE HEALTHIER YOU LIVE. I AM CURRENTLY TAKING ATRIPLA WHICH IS JUT ONE PILL AT BEDTIME AND WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE MEDICINE IS VERY COOL. ONCE YOUR VIRAL LOAD GOES BELOW 50 IT BECOMES UNDETECTABLE. WHICH IS WHERE YOUR ID DOCTOR WANTS YOU TO BE IF YOU HAVE ONE TEAK IS RIGHT YOU NEED TO GET AN ID DOCTOR. THEY WILL KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW TO TREAT YOU.

Hi Teak,
What's an ID doctor? You've lost me a bit here, can you please explain more about the ARVs purpose. Thankx

You still have HIV. Don't you use an ID doctor? If not, you should be. The reason for taking ARVs is to get your serum level to undetectable.
