Anxiety Again

I will make this quick as I already know what everyone is going to say.  I had a no risk encounter almost 10 weeks ago which was a quick french kiss with a woman of unknown status, maybe 15-20 seconds.  I have been told on both forums that it was no risk but I refused to move on.  I took a rapid test at a clinic at the 8 week mark which came back non reactive and I felt better after that negative test.  The test was a Clearview Stat/Pak and the result came back in about 20 minutes.  I have developed an unrational fear of HIV and I still am thinking "what if".  How accurate is that test I took?  Can I really move on and get rid of this anxiety once and for all?  Thank you in advance for your patience.

I have found myself scouring the boards again because my mind is giving me doubts.  I have been told "NO RISK" and I have a negative 8 week antibody test.  For some reason I am now not believing the test and feel I should get another one.  The doctors say a 8 week antibody test is difinitive proof you didn't catch HIV but I see others in the general forum say 3 months.  My mind seems to be playing tricks on me.  Should I test again at 12 weeks or not?

Buddy, you shouldnt need to even have any thought of testing for such a little thing like kissing? Its somthing you should enjoy and never even have a concern, just a feeling of feeling good about yourself.

Your test is pointless, infact you may well take a test for cancer for all the good it will do.

Hey Bud,  Thank you very much for your response.  I don't take it as harsh at all because quite frankly at this point that is what I need.  In my case there is no what ifs are there?  Just for my peace of mind it does help me to hear what you and others have to say.  I was able to get over another no risk situation and I will get over this one.  I took the test for peace of mind and it worked for a bit untill I started thinking that maybe I hadn't developed antibodies yet and I was one of the people who take longer than the average.  Is that even possible?  I am guessing not.  I have seen the docs say that and 8 week test is completely accurate and they have never seen an 8 week negative turn positive for someone who had a real risk.  What is your experience with what the docs say?  Once again thank you for your time Apollo, you have been a great help to me.
