Good Morning
No offence taken at all.
You will NOT acquire HIV through being sucked. I've never seen it; never read about it; no colleagues have ever told me about it and I've never seen it in any of the literature.
Saliva = spit = not infectious as far as HIV is concerned.
There is a faint possibility of acquiring HIV through SUCKING and receiving ejaculate = cum - in your mouth if you suck off an HIV positive male, but equally this is fantastically rare and studies seem to indicate an exceptionally low to zero risk for this.
There is a theoretical risk that I might become the UK's next Prime Minister but it is very unlikely I'm glad to say. Theoretical risk is exactly that - theory.
You will NOT become HIV positive through being sucked. You may get any of chlamydia; gonorrhoea; syphilis; herpes; strep; NSU in your penis but NOT HIV - irrespective of what any of the other Forums say.
best wishes, Sean
Read what he has written to you, "The fact is though that you were never at risk in the first place - you will not acquire HIV through being sucked. The HIV test is irrelevant." Dr.Sean
Hi Dr. Cummings,
Today I went for a Uni-Gold Recombigen HIV test today which came back negative at a little after 5 weeks (37 days) exposure. It was a rapid test and recommended to go back at 8 weeks. Do you recommend any more tests or is that good enough?
Tomorrow I'm going for a rapid test and wanted to know is it ok if I post the results to give other people in my shoes a sense of relaxation knowing they'll be ok? Also I get my results from the test I took a week ago next week, I'll repost those as soon as I get them. I just have two more questions and I'm done: 1) I have heard there have been no reported hiv infected people from my incident (being sucked) is that true? and 2) I read some of your other posts and you stated people have been infected from cumminlings, and other type of oral sex but NOT through my incident. Why is that so?
Good Morning
You've asked:-
"I have one more question: tomorrow I'm getting a orasure (not the rapid but the one where you rubb your gums on for 2 minutes) test done as Dr. Hook as states it will identify 90% of infections at 28 days and beyond, are these results almost conclusive? So your saying the risk is zero for hiv to be trasmitted via oral sex? This is my last comment until I get the results. Thank you for all you have done it has really helped me ease my mind."
The obvious answer is no - 90% is not conclusive, is it?
The fact is though that you were never at risk in the first place - you will not acquire HIV through being sucked. The HIV test is irrelevant.

I know the chances of getting a STD are very low from oral sex so with all my STD test coming back negative it helped me ease my mind knowing that the chances of getting gonnorrhea, clamydia, etc are a lot higher than getting hiv but I want some insurance I am ok because I haven't been able to sleep since this occured.
What are your thoughts with everything I have told you? Do you think I'm ok? Do I need testing? Etc.?
Sorry If any doctor takes this as an offense but I'm having mixed feelings with other posts as every doctor on this forum has someting around the words of you can't get hiv from being sucked or from oral sex. Than I look at another forum and it says the complete opposite. I know some think there is a theoretical risk, but am wondering is there a risk or not in my case?
Thank you in advanced for your help.
