Hello Bubba
Patience my friend, is said to be a virtue so hold on we are in the UK you know and a slightly different time zone!
Anyway, your friend in the Forum is nearly correct. He or she says "very low risk". I'd say zero risk. I would certainly not do an HIV RNA test - thats paranoid madness and comletely unnecessary. If you must, the do an HIV DUO test at 28 days = combined HIV antibody/antigen test. If this is negative then you certainly are.
Very best regards, Sean
YOU ARE GONNA BE FINE! Test again when you hit the 3 month mark from the day you had oral sex. VERY LOW risk but to put your mind at ease...test up! I just did yesterday and I was NEGATIVE...and I had unprotected sex and oral sex...so your chances are great!!!!!! Pray if you believe in God and I will pray for you.
Just awaiting a response. Thanks
Am I going to get a response from a doctor instead of another member for the $20.
Thanks Doc. However, I already did the HIV RNA nucleic acid test. Is this accurate at 14 days post exposure with a negative result? Because blood and tissue banks use this methodology. I just want to make sure that 14 days covers the window period with HIV RNA NAT test? Thanks
