HIV RISK QUESTION

Dr. 12 days ago I gave a man oral sex and he ejaculated in my mouth. I spit it out and several minutes later rinsed my mouth out with water. I am so scared of my possible risk of hiv contraction. He "says" he is clean!? I made a huge mistake and now I am worried. Worried enough to pay 20.00 to ask a question. How risky is oral sex when dealing with HIV?
I should also mention I have done a DNA by PCR and am awaiting the results.

Thanks

Read Dr.Jose's article and then take a look at what Dr.Sean has said.

The evidence he writes about it a couple of studies done, one well controled that was with couples 1-HIV- the other HIV+ and this was 10 years and showed 0 infections from over 19000 acts of oral sex.

Are you suggesting that if my partner was HIV positive and he ejaculated in my mouth there is only minimal risk?
I suppose this is all opinion until I get my results but I am looking for some reassurance.
Thanks for your time.

Good Morning

Thank you for your post.

I don't believe on the available evidence that there is a significant risk here even if he was HIV positive.

You can get more information on oral sex by looking at Dr Jose's article which I believe you will be able to see in the column on the right but also using this url
