pls assess my risk, i am under big stress

on 26th july, i had sex with a sex worker (she was standing on the side of the street, im not she is with HIV or not). straight sex with condom, a couple of mins. then she wiped my penis with a dirty tissue. i was not sure it was wet or dry. so i am scared that if that tissue had been used by her or other guy 20mins before. i thought there was some body fluid on that tissue.  do i have chance to be infected HIV THX very much
and i am also scared by the gap btw condom and penis, if i want to test it, how long the window period should i consider, 6 weeks ? is  that ok? thank you very much. by the way i am in melbouorne, and that girl is not legal sex worker

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our HIV forum.
From the description of the events, I do not beleive that you need to worry at all about the possibility of HIV infection.  You used a condom for penetration and that is safe.  The fact that the lady used a dirty tissue to wipe your penis, it would not pose any real risk of HIV infection.  HIV would not survive very long on a tissue.  If the head of your penis came into contact with some fluid on the tissue, there is a very small chance of possibly having contracted another STD, such as Chlamydia and Gonorrrhoea, but not HIV.
Bearing all thsi in mind, I do not think that you need a HIV test.  However if you wanted one, for peace of mind, I would recommend a HIV Duo or Combo at 4 weeks, or and antibody test after 8 weeks.
Best wishes,
Dr José
