I sure need to be more careful with my life and not indanger my wife too from my illicit acts...I would just test at my 3 month mark to clear my head and all anxiety and stress passed through in this odeal....You guys are all doing a very work out there. God Bless.
Good Morning Troy,
The evidence is that you are HIV negative - the HIV PCR test at 6 weeks and the HIV antibody test at 7 weeks would indicate that you are HIV negative despite what sounds like brief unprotected sex with a female who was HIV positive.
Having sex with an HIV positive person does not always result in HIV infection - in fact, very far from it. There are numerous variables which we need to take into account. These include how long the HIV positive person has been infected for; what the persons HIV viral load is; whether they have any other STD's; their general state of health; whether they are taking anti-HIV medictaions.
All the above will have an effect. Generally speaking, as a male having penetrative sex with an HIV positive female then you have a 1 in 1000 or so chance of becoming infected by her.
The evidence you have supplied suggests that you have not been infected.
best regards, Sean
I had vaginal sex with a lady that I personaly tested 2weeks after sex (Positive) from the home test kit. 2 weeks after exposure I had a 4th generation test (Negative)same week i took PeP for 7days and stopped. I took HIV-1 PCR QUAL 3days after the 7days PeP (Negative), took another 4th Generation test at day 28 post exposure (Negative). I have some sort of mouth white patch and pimple/sore inside my mouth. after another 2weeks I have like something starke in my throat, not painful but discomforting, also feeling itching but not seen any rash yet, I sweat sometimes on my legs/underneath my groin. Dr says I have trush or some fungal infection from anxiety and stress due to I was not eating at a whole week etc. I had another HIV-1 PCR QUAL test at 6weeks (Negative) but I feel am breaking down and my body is not normal anymore, 7weeks Eliza (Negative). I would be testing at my 3month mark. But my symptoms all give me away....the Vaginal intercourse was that she robbed my penis on her clitoris and after I put my penis inside and trusted for some 3 or 4 times and got out and wore the Condom, after sex I washed my penis and worried for that exposure. my symptoms are way directing to grave error...Please advise on any ARS signs or any possible symptoms.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our HIV forum.
The answer to your question is YES. The p24 antigen is already detectable at 2 weeks and a negative result at this time would be very reliable and highly reassuring, but not fully conclusive though. You should have this test repeated at 4 weeks for total reliability and complete peace of mind.
Best wishes,
Dr José
