NEED HELP AND ADVICE FOR A SINGLE EPISODE VAGINAL SEX (UNPROTECTED)

Hi Doctors i had Single episode Unprotected Vagina Sex last March 12,2009 for My Bachelors Party and i didnt use Condom. Im so scared i contracted HIV from a Sex Worker. No Symptoms like fever, rash or diarrhea or Sweats or Swollen Lymph node at all and i had a Complete Blood Count 3 weeks after exposure and everything came Normal. Im so scared to get a HIV test. MY QUESTION IS

1.WHAT ARE MY RISK OF GETTING HIV FROM  A SINGLE EPISODE VAGINAL SEX WITH A SEX WORKER I DID NOT EJACULATE IN HER.

2. WILL I GET HIV FROM A ONE TIME UNPROTECTED SEX?

PLEASE HELP ME ITS BEEN BOTHERING ME FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND IM SCARED TO GET A TEST.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post.  I assume that this sexual encounter was over one year ago (and not March this year).
The fact that this encounter was with a sex worker does not necessarily mean that she was HIV positive.  However if we assume that she was positive, the estimated risk for you from a single unprotected penetrative insertive vaginal intercourse would be less than 0.1% or less than 1 in 1,000.  Therefore the risk is relatively low and I woudl think it is highly unlikely that you have become infected, although it is still possible to become infected from a single encounter.  I think you need to move on and in order to get complete peace of mind, you ought to be tested.  I am quite confident that the test result will be negative.  The main lesson to learn from this is to always use condoms from now on.
Best wishes,
Dr José
