Open mouth kissing - Need help

Hello Dr,

The below question may be stupid and you would have answered it. Please help me.

I went to strip club last week and took a lap dance. During the dance, i kissed the dancer on lips and tongue. Later, i came to know that she is a druggist but not sure whether she is an HIV patient. On hearing that she is a druggist,  i could not sleep and scared that i may get HIV infected. I don't have any open sore or cut in mouth or cracked lips. I am very scared of HIV. Please suggest whether i will get infected on HIV. Do i really need to take test?

Please advise.

Thanks
Anse

Hello Anse1

Are you at risk? = NO there is no risk to you here at all even if the lady was HIV positive.

Do you need to take a test? = Not for medical reasons - but I think you do for psychological ones as this seems to have upset you very much. I am certain - 100% - that you have not been exposed to HIV and that you will not have conracted it via this encounter.

best wishes, Sean

Hello Dr,

I just noticed my gums bleed only during brushing and gums towards last teeth only bleeds. But bleeding stops immediately after brushing. I don't have bleeding gums always and my gums didn't bleed before i kissed the dancer. Is there any HIV exposure?.  Please advise.
