rocephin and bactrium

Hi Doctor, I was a user of this forum and thanks for the wonderful job. This round, I am asking 2 questions on behalf of my close friend who freck out after some insident reported on media. (sorry for not mentioning as it may undermine some profession). My friend will be tested for hiv another 10 days which will be 3 months post exposure but unfortunately he got a boil on the backside and doctor injected him with rocephin and gave him some antibiotic (bactrium). He stopped bactrium immediately after taking 2 pills due to skin allergy.

No more medicine after the only rocephin injection and 2 bactrium pills. The question is will this 2 medicine affect ( false positive or false negetive)his hiv combo test after 10 days without any further medicine (10 days gap)? Is it conclusive if negetive at 3 month for both p24 antigen and antibody?

Last question but important Dear Doctor, will everyone who infected with hiv will surely produce p24 antigen or there might be some exception as a result of different strain of hiv and immune response?

Thank you very much for your post and apologies for the delay in replying to your questions.
I can confirm to you that those antibiotics do not interefere with the reliability of the HIV tests.  Therefore the results are completely reliable.  The HIV Duo or Combo test is conclsuive already after 4 weeks (28 days), without having to wait as long as 3 months.
Anybody infected with HIV would have levels of p24 antigen already detectable after 2 weeks of the infection, but this would apply to HIV-1 only, but the antibodies in the test would detect a possible infection for HIV-2 also.  In any case, if your friend gets a negative HIV Duo/Combo result after 28 days, he can rest assured that he is definitely HIV negative.

Dear doctor, besides the above mentioned medicine (rocephin and bactrium), i forgot to mention that my doctor also gave me erythromycin 400mg * 5 days (2 tablets each day) which I start to take today.

Will those medicine affect hiv test result at 28 days with a combo ab/ag test? Will the result at 28 days be conclusive and need no further testing? Thank You.
