Risk of HIV from handjob with bleeding genital warts on penis

Dear Doctor,

I have genital warts (from HPV) on my penis and went to a massage centre 2 weeks back and got an oil massage for 20 minutes follwoed by a handjob from a masseuse.

Straight after the massage and handjob, I noticed that my 2 warts/sores on my penis had broken and one had a cut and was bleeding. The masseuse hand was not bleeding but she may have cut my warts with her finger nails pressing my penis during the handjob. She may have also serviced a customer in a similar fashion about 30 minutes before me

I would like to know what is the risk of HIV infection for me
1) genital warts which were broken and one had a cut and was bleeding slightly (will I be affected from HIV by her finger nails, her hands had no cuts and was not bleeding)
2) If the masseuse had serviced a customer before me, and had his semen on her hand. (am I at risk of infection from HIV from the semen on her hand especially if the customer she serviced had HIV, or would the HIV had dried up)

Sorry but I'm very worried. I would like to know if I'm at risk.
Thanks

Dear Doctor,

I would just like to ask what is the risk of HIV infection if:
1) If the masseuse also had a cut as well.
2) A towel was used to clean my penis straight after and I'm not too sure if it was a new towel. What are my risks if the towel was used by the previous customer 30 minutes earlier as well.

My apologies but I am still worried about it.

Thanks for the reply.

I was worried because I thought that the bleeding warts make me more susceptible and at higher risk of HIV infection.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post.  I will try to answer each of your queries here below:

I DO NOT BELIEVE SO.  RECEIVING A HAND JOB AND A MASSAGE DOES NOT POSE ANY RISK OF HIV INFECTION EVEN IN THE PRESENCE OF A BLEEDING CUT OR AN OPEN WOUND

2) If the masseuse had serviced a customer before me, and had his semen on her hand. (am I at risk of infection from HIV from the semen on her hand especially if the customer she serviced had HIV, or would the HIV had dried up)
I DON'T THINK SO.  THE WHOLE THING SEEMS UNLIKELY ANYWAY.  IN THAT EVENT, THE VIRUS BECOMES UNSTABLE OUTSIDE OF THE BODY AND WOULD NOT BE INFECTIOUS.

In summary, I think that you are worrying unnecessarily.  My assessment of the situation described is that there was no risk at all whatsoever.
Best wishes,
Dr José
