Hello Steven,
I do not believe that you have put yourself at any significant risk of HIV infection whatsoever. This is for a number of reasons as follows: unknown status of the lady (most likely negative statistically)and very brief unprotected penetration. The estimated risk of unprotected insertive vaginal intercourse with a known HIV positive lady is less than 0.1% or less than 1 in 1,000 (not 1 in 100 as the other kind contributor to your thread states). Therefore I would not worry, if I were you. However this other contributor is right in stating that you ought to have an STD screening because you have definitely put yourself at risk of other much more common sexually transmitted diseases, which are usually always treatable but not always give symptoms. And of you continue worrying about HIV, why don't you just have a simple HIV antibody test? This will be negative and will give you complete peace of mind.
Best wishes,
Dr Jose
Had the test and it was NEGATIVE.
had full testing done for all stds and hep c and came back neg... didnt get a hiv though..
I would advise you to go and get a full screening ( GUM Clinics) Thats what there called over here in England and there free of charge, They might be different over there
But they can test you for HIV
I'm sure yours is a very low risk chance of catching it.I here if you have unprotected sex with someone who is HIV positive its a chance of 1 out of 100
But you don't even know she is positive yet
But I'd advise you to get a full screening
Good luck!
