hiv test,60th day


Hello Doctor

Need your help

1. Im from India,wife is pregnant,60th day she did hivI and II which is negative,HbSAg negative and VDRL test is non reactive.

2. she is taking pregicitil 200(progesterone soft gelatin tablets) and vitalin 800.

3. Around 8th week she had cold for which we took simple cold tablets. she is a healthy person

My question is are these tests conclusive( %) and to which generation the test belong considering she did these tests in July 2012,India

Thank you very much for your post and apologies for the delyed reply.
The tests would be conclusive depending on the window period between the date of the test and the last possible exposure to any of these infections through unprotected intercourse with someone infected.  If the HIV test carried out was a serology ELISA test of 3rd generation, this is fully conclusive after 12 weeks; the Hepatitis B and Syphilis tests would be conslcuive after 4-6 weeks.  If she had a 4th generation Duo test, a 4 week window period would suffice for the test to be fully conclusive.
