I Dont know what to say but I really need help here

Hi,

You can check from my posts earlier that I am freaking out and will need help to calm my fears.

I had protected oral and vaginal intercourse with CSW, i believe she is high risk. Anyways i used the same condom for both practices and they were very brief - the whole episode did not last more than a minute or 2 when i came to my senses and pulled out. condom was intact cause i ejaculated outside of her and the semen is in the pocket. this means my condom worked right?

Anyways, i had a DUO (antibody and antigens) test at 31 days after exposure and the test was negative. now the lab doctor is my friend, and he told me that it is relaible and conculsive and i should not worry at all. checked with my urologist and he said that with the test my probability of being positive is below zero now.

what is killing me is my oral thrush that has been going for almost 20 days, doctors say its fungul infection in my mouth. i have started treatment 5 days ago and it seems things are a little better now.

Causes for oral thrush are Stress ( I am hyperstressed), Antibiotics (was on antibiotics for 7 days after the exposure in a week (1000 mg) by which i suffered from extreme diareahea and headaches), astham inhalers ( i overdosed with a new inhaler that was given to me (symbicort) and had over 30 doses at the same time cause i did not know how to use it) and people with HIV and cancer

where do i fall, i am trying to convince my self i am safe from HIV but i could not, i started doubting everything even my friend at the lab ( cause the report show AB only and i checked with him and he said its duo but this method is new and not on the system yet, and he explained how it works)

I am going crazy here, i dont want to talk to anyone, i have been assured by all doctors that i cant get HIV and my test proves it, but whats with the thrush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! am going crazy right.

sorry for writing but i need to vent off. am scared that i would die from stress or smthg i just feel that i have no pwer to do anything.

can anyone help me here?

Youu will get a nrgative results,many person had a hard time for waiting to be tested but u have your 31days negative which combined ag n ab test.but if u want to test at 8weeks just for peace of mind than test it,it will be a negative results.

The condom was fine and that test you have at the 8 week mark will almost assure you that everything is fine.You really don,t require testing but if it will make you feel better then test and expect a negative result.

Thanks getitright 77, i think it is a psychological issue that i am passing through now. I hope i am safe and will be testing in another 2 weeks (8 weeks) and hope this will make me better if i get a negative result.

I am just scared that due to the fact that i used the condom for both oral and vaginal might have malfunctioned the condom and resulted in a transmission. I have checked the condom twice and i could see that the semen is there in the pocket but i did not check it with water or anything and thats what is freaking me out.

am sorry but i think i need psychological help.

It,s ok and i,m glad i can help.To begin with there is no doubt that you had no risk of Hiv infection and that the condom was intact and no other exposures took place at all.The oral thrush,ok,lets see if we can make some sense of this and i want you to know how common it is,even vaginal thrush in women is so common.That DUO you had at 31 days is around 99% conclusive and it is proof that you had no Hiv infection.You need to calm down because you must understand that you are safe and well.The trush will pass and you will start feeling better.Be happy you don,t have Hiv.
