Can you answer the first two questions I have asked, you and the other have been so help, I am feeling alittle better, just scared like hell until I go back to the doctor. Thanks
Have you went back and taken the proper tests?
To answer you question, since I talked to you last the VA called me up and took 8 to 9 bottles of blood from me. I guess they are trying to see what is wrong with me and what kind of medication they will put me on. Once I talk to them, I will have another test taken, I was reading, dang some many articles on HIV and its seem the western blot is the best.I really don't know.
I was just wonder how many different pills do you think I will have to take? Plus to it effect older people more than young people? I am trying so hard to not be scared about this whole thing, I do appreciate all the advice and help that I have received from all of you. If I didn't have someone to talk to, I think I would have ended my life the other day, but I'm trying to keep a clear head and not think about it. I do appreciate all your help at least I have someone to talk to. Thanks
If you were just diagnosed for a recent infection you won't be put on any medications.
Teak you are one of the best guys on this site for giving me advice. So if I am HIV-Postive why don't they start me off with medication now while my CD4 Cell are strong, I hope, so what will you think they may do, have me wait until I get really sick? I know your aren't a doctor but you have been through a lot yourself. Thanks
You'll wait until your CD4 drops and your body is having a hard time fight the infection. Do you have a good job and good insurance? You'll need it. Meds run from 800 to 1400 a month.
Good to see you are at work, I have both, I am retired from the ARMY. hope the VA will supply me with the medication. Teak could be real soon and I know it depend on my health, just trying to get and idea.
Is there any foods that I can eat that will help to keep my CD4 Cel(T-cell) strong also?
Foods have nothing to do with your CD4 count and don't take supplements unless your ID doctor advises you to.
I have HIV-Positive, I am waiting on a blood test to come back, why do you think they took another blood test? are the trying to find out how far along I am with the HIV and what medication they are going to give me. I have read that just because I am HIV-postive and if I take my medication I may never have fully blown Aids and I stay healthy is that correct if you know.
Because you didn't have the correct tests to begin with.
is there a reason that you do not ask these questions to your doctor? we do not have any idea what kind of tests your doctor has ordered.
Since I have am HIV+,and waiting on my blood test to come back is my sex life over with either vaginal/anal intercourse or can I use pretection and still have some sex?
Now that was a stupid question.
