tears

Today I just found out im hiv positive,  I swam in my tears.  Im 26 and feel like life is over.  No one would want me no kids,  no future.  Everything that ive been working on just turned to dust.  Why should I work, why should I carry on, it seems its all in vain now. . I can't bare this burden. .

here, never give up hope bud, sorry am in the same situation myself, got confirmation of my condition only a few months back, I try not to let effect my daily lifestyle, it takes alot to deal with it, given up particular parts of your lifestyle etc but, this has to happen and can help you greatly deal with living with hiv! I hope all isn't doom and gloom with you, you can still live a relatively normal life so don't beat yourself up to bad about it

I HAVE HAD HIV FOR 13 YEARS NOW AND I STILL REMEMBER THE DAY I FOUND OUT FEBRUARY 2ND OF 1997 AND I WAS PREGNANT AND MY SON IS NEGATIVE AND HE IS 13 SO YES YOU CAN STILL HAVE A CHILD WITH SOMEONE BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE HIV POSITIVE TOO BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO INFECT THE PERSON THAT DON'T HAVE IT. I DON'T THINK THEY WILL EVER FIND A CURE JUST MEDICATIONS TO BRING IT DOWN TO BEING UNDETECTABLE LIKE THEY ALREADY HAVE DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP ON A CURE. I DON'T. YOUR LIFE REALLY IS GOING TO CHANGE THAT MUCH YOU JUST HAVE A FEW MORE DOCTOR APPTS AND LABS DONE THEN YOU NORMALLY WOULD. OTHER THEN THAT I LIVE A VERY NORMAL LIFE. ALL OF MY CHILDREN ARE NEGATIVE AND HAPPY AND THEY SUPPORT ME AND MY HUSBAND TOO OF COURSE. I WOULD SUGGEST TALKING TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT ATRIPLA THAT IS THE MEDICATION THAT I AM ON AND IT HAS MADE ME UNDETECTABLE WHICH MEANS MY VIRAL LOAD IS BELOW 50 WHICH IS VERY GOOD.

Thanks people,  it was like three months, then I got tested.  Ive been looking into hiv,  and it seems scientists are so close to the cure. It looks promising, they think they'll have it done within 5yrs. Sounds good,  but I won't get my hopes too high. I realize having hiv is more like a disability rather than a death sentence. Ill keep my head up,  I have no choice.  Thanks again.

Unless you have had a confirmative test ran then you have never been confirmed positive. Which three days ago you hadn't even been tested.
