Hello, I have found great support in your forum, but just like others, I cannot seem to rest my brain. Here is my scenario: I had unprotected sex with a girl I met at a bar on November 11, 2007. A week later, I had sex with a girl I am still dating. She came down with all sorts of ARS like symptoms (sore throat hours later, cold next day, rash two days after). Another month went by and she got sick again with swollen lymph nodes. The entire time after we had sex, for months, she had a dry cough. After a month and a half, she was fine. I never got sick, but was so worried that I went to my doctor 12 weeks after my random encounter and got tested for all STDs, including HIV, all came back negative. I then tested for HIV at 24 weeks and it was negative. I have convinced myself that I gave her HIV, even though I tested negative out to 24 weeks. Can I just put this behind me? It seems like the first round of symptoms appeared so soon that they could not be HIV, but I cant seem to forget it. Thank you.
