12 weeks test

As many if you are aware, I had unprotected sex with a sex worker.
I have tested at:18, 42, 75 days.
Statiscally, I am more likely to win the lotto.
I would have have thought the same, except at 70 days after exposure I begin to feel not so good. The day after my 75 day test I came down with a seriuos cause of flu for 4 days. Afterwards every night I would have night sweats where I could wipe the sweat of my head and body, during the day I felt tired and exhausted with muscle pains. I realise ars occurs between 2-4 weeks and usually last between 4-6 weeks or longer. I have found no literiture were ars begins after 70 days, therefore realistically, this is very rare, if this is to be true, it is much more likey I caught flu. Everybody thinks that they could be that different person, as do I at the moment.
I have booked my final test 12 weeks and 1 day test on monday morning and am feeling worried about my test due to my flu like symptons I had a couple of weeks ago. I have not fully recovered from the flu yet, which is my main concern as I never get ill.
This possible exposure has exhauasted my mind for the last 12 weeks and the flu symptons has exhausted my body. I am sooooo tired from my possible exposure, thank god it will be over in 1 week. Dr H and Ann from Aidsmed has never seen someone turn + after 6 weeks. I must be so unfortunate to turn + after a 10.5 week test. If I did not have the flu I would've walked into the GUM clinc on moday without hesitation knowing it will be - but now after having flu like symptons I am not so confident.

Had my test this morning, due to it being the NHS I must wait to have my results. I will not get my results till Friday, another 5 days to wait.

I wish I went private again as the doc who examined me today only wanted to do the tests, I don't think he knew a lot about HIV as he tried to shuttle me out as soon as he finished all his test. I didn't even get to ask him if I tested neg will it mean I'm in the clear and no further testing is required. No compassion at all, I feel let down, its like I'm just another number. I did ask him about my flu symptons and he just said I had the flu as he showed me to the door.

Don't feel to great emotionally with my mind at a total blank and guilt is settling in, no anxiety attacks anymore, as this is it.

I've placed my life on hold for the last 12 weeks just for 5 mins of pleasure. Will post my results on friday.

Russian,

Please post once you receive your test results. I (and probably everyone else on the forum) am confident that you are and will remain HIV- based on your exposure risk and test history.

Hey there...I was in the same position as you, except what I thought was ARS didn't happen to me until 4 months post possible exposure.  Same as you, unprotected vaginal.  I was and still am HIV negative.  Your test will be negative.

I know this doesn't mean anything medically or scientifically, but I have been reading Aidsmeds since November '05 and have yet to read about any guy ending up HIV positive after vaginal sex.  I may have missed a thread or two that states otherwise, but I'm sure Teak will know for sure.  I know it's reckless to think you won't be infected in that manner, but it is obviously extremely, extremely rare.  Please post your negative result when you get it.  Hang in there
