1st generation immunochromatography Test

Hi, I must say u guys are doing a wonderful job.... I once had high exposure risk which involved insertive anal sex... 14 weeks later I took an Immunochromatography test which was 1st generation... And then again anxiety and fear made me take another immunochromatography(1st generation test) at 5 months and 1 week exactly post exposure.... My question is ... A) Is my test conclusive?
B) Is window period of this test 3 months?
thank u so much for answering... I do know modern tests have shorter window period but the test I took were old ones... Plz enlighten me... PS- I had tuberculosis when I was young around 11 or 12 years and I also had an small operation ... I am 20 now...does it anyway affect my tests?

As I already told you in my first response, all HIV tests are conclusive at 3 months post exposure.

1st generation were highly unreliable and also needed a much longer window period (sometimes up to 6 months). It is difficult for me to talk about those as I am not the most experienced with them, I could help you more with 3rd or 4th generation tests.
If you have any doubt about those older tests, maybe you can simply get a rapid test or, if you are in the US, you could buy an Oraquick test. At this point, both those tests will be 100% conclusive and will use the current standard for testing.

Just one thing though, was the anal sex unprotected? Because if it was protected and condom did not fail, you were not at risk in the first place...

It was unprotected :(
My test was in my no chromatography card rapid test... It gave me results in like under 30 mins...
Sorry typo... Immunochromatography rapid test
Then this cannot possibly be a 1st generation test. I believe that all rapid test are 3rd generation as they did not exist prior to that. If your test was 3rd generation, it would be fully conclusive.
LRossi u were right.... This wasn't an 1st gen test it is an 2nd gen rapid test.... 1st gen immunoassays werent rapid.... They took time.... Any who... Thanks :P

All HIV tests, regardless of generation, are conclusive at 3 months post exposure. Therefore, your 5 month test was conclusively negative.
