3 months test

hi................am glad i had a negative HIV DUO test result at 3 months, which is 90 days after my last exposure............but when i went to a specialist doctor and told him abt this..........he said i still to test out again after 6 months.........this is putting me back into trauma..............i know nothing abt hiv testing and how long will it take to test positive if there is infection.............but the doctor says 6 months....wat shud i believe and wat is the reality ?? isnt 3 months enuf for hiv testing ????????? pls advice..........i sincerely request you.

Your doctor is incorrect. 3 months is conclusive and you are conclusively negative.
