4 months negative ELISA PCR proviral DNA and PCR RNA

Hi Doctor,

I have been going through the forum from quite few days. I am really worried. I had an exposure on 26th April. Dont know her status. She touched my penis for say 1 minute, don't know if something was there in her hand. No intercourse at all. She was fully clothed. The doubt i have is she might have touched herself or someone else before touching me.

at 123 days i.e. around 17-18 August i felt some rash on my hand and arms. Some red dots also on my arms.

On 20th August i had ELISA - non reactive.
HIV DNA Proviral real time PCR - not detected.
On 28th August ELISA - non reactive.
HIV-1 RNA - non detectable.

Still have some symptoms body rash on the leg, there were rashes under armptis and groin around 20th August. Currently i think i have whitish tongue in the morning. I am really scared, dont know what is causing these symptoms. All the doctors say you are conclusive 100% negative. Dont know what to do. Should i test more?

Thnx for the reply Teak. I have been to 4 different doctors since 17th August, including a Skin specialist and 2 HIV specialist. All of them have cleared me of HIV.

Actually, the symptoms i described started around 17th August i.e. 123 days from exposure and continued till end Sep 5-6th. Now most of them are gone. I only have one very small rash on the leg. I think i have whitish tongue not sure.

You don't have an HIV concern. If you are concerned about your symptoms see a doctor they have nothing to do with HIV.

Hi Teak,

I respect you a lot in this community. I have been reading your posts throughout. Please suggest what should i do. I am unmarried.

My fear is that if in future some test becomes positive. I have a job and steady life. I will loose my job, my family will ask me to marry, what answer il give them.

I dont understand these symptoms. I took these tests at 4 months.

Hi,

Thnx for replying. I have consulted 2 doctors, both of them have cleared me of HIV based on the tests i have taken.

I am having sleepless nights, cry all day, dont know wat to do. I understand that the encounter i had post no risk of HIV, but could there be something on the hand which can cause HIV to be transmitted.

Please help. I am really down and depressed. My life is at stake.

Hi Vance2335,

Even i feel so that there was no risk. But these symptoms red dots on arms, body rashes, white tongue, had fatigue, weight loss. How can all this happen on its own. I am really confused.

You never had a risk, never needed to test.
