this post has gone on long enough ! ! !

if you have had unprotected sex with someone who is hiv +...then you put yourself at risk and need to test.

the ONLY way to know your status is by testing...NOT BY STATISTICS.

we are not going to keep going over this time and time again.  take the advice that's been given and move along.

Why don't you meanwhile wear condom until 3 months post last unprotected sex with your GF and get yourself checked by then? I'm following the consensus here that discussing statistical probabilities of catching HIV should better be done with the docs here, but I guess many have same opinion: the odds are AGAINST you.

A single exposure for four years in a row? C'mon.

You have to be an idiot to keep asking if you have much of a chance of contracting HIV and you stated you've been having unprotected sex for 4 years with an HIV positive person. You're are correct. You can't count on me to give you anything other than facts. I'm not here to play your guessing game.

i will do the test, but this I already know. What I wanted was a help to people who understand the subject to tell me if I have much chance of having contracted or not. but I realized that I can not count on you

Yes, you have chance not to be infected, I don't want to speak about odds, cause some people don't like it. Wish you the best !

the only way to know your status is to test 3 months post exposure.  this will give you a conclusive result.

I advice you to take ELISA for HIV1/2  6-8 weeks and 13 weeks after the last unprotected sexual exposure.

A result of 6 week is highly unlikely to get changed .However 13 week test is compulsory for reliable results.

Always use condoms and never share needles.

Do a test now if it comes out negative then you only have to be worried about exposures over the last 3months.do a test now if negative then.............test 8 weak after your last sex if negative then.............test 3 months after your last sex.
