Dear Dr.
I am a straight man who had his first sexual intercourse in life before 9 weeks. during the intercourse, my condom got little loose due to weak erection and the lady replaced it immediately without me cleaning my penis. after one week of exposure, I started getting night sweats that lasted for 6 weeks continuously, also my back skin felt like burning for few days. moreover, I lost 7 kgs in one month. also, i had a hard pain in muscles and joints that are still there till now. also, i still feel fatigue. and my tongue is so white since 8 weeks. I did two HIV tests after 8 weeks of exposure, one was a rapid test and the other in a laboratory. both gave negative results. now its 9 weeks after exposure and I am still having muscle/joint pains, fatigue, and white tongue. Is my 8 weeks test conclusive though I had all these symptoms (especially night sweets and rapid weight loss)? or should I retest at 3 months? can HIV symptoms stay until 9 weeks after exposure? weight loss and white tongue are symptoms of late HIV stage (AIDS) so why I am having them now.
I truly appreciate your kind support.
