A couple of questions

I have a couple of questions:

What is the actual percentage of people with hiv and aids in US and what percentage of those are heterosexuals?

Has there ever been a known incidence where someone tested negative for hiv and later was found to actually have it (after the appropriate amount of time from exposure)?  I have been tested twice in the past month.  I am pretty sure I am being irrational but would like to know for peace of mind.  It seems once this is stuck in your head it is hard to get out.

In the United States an estimate 1 million people has HIV out of a population of over 350 million.  Among the persons who have HIV about 60% are men who have sex with men. Thus if one's partner is not an IV drug user, the statistical likelihood that a person has HIV is less than 1 in 1000 and probably lower.

If you have had 1 negative HIV test at any time more than 8 weeks after your last sexual contact with a partner who concerns you, you can be confident that you do not have HIV.  Two negative tests makes this even more certain.   If this description fits you , you can be confident that you o not have HIV and that your partner is not at risk of HIV from you.
