A question about HIV

Dear Sir/Madam,

I encountered with high-risk person 3 weeks ago. Since then, I am having all the symptoms of HIV including fever sore-throat. I did give an received an oral sex.  There are so many conflicting information about oral sex. Should I be concerned about HIV?  Could you please point me right direction about relationship between oral sex and HIV.

You had zero risk so don't need to test.

HIV is instantly inactivated in air and also in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from oral. So those are 2 reasons you had zero risk. Double zero risk. So it doesn't matter even if both people were bleeding at the time it is effectively dead.

Only adult risks are unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal sex or sharing needles that you inject with.
Even with blood, lactation cuts, rashes, burns etc saliva and air do not allow inactivated virus to infect from oral. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established so nothing you can add will make it a risk.

We are not affiliated with other sites so do not follow their ideas that you have been reading, because some are outdated, some are just anecdotal incorrect ideas and others use theoretical risks. We use the opinion of expert doctors and the CDC instead.

Dear AnxiousNoMore, Thank you so much for response. I am really worried because I am getting mild fever, sore throat, lymph node and some rash. They all appear after 2 weeks of encounter and now it is gradually disappearing (after 4 weeks). Is it true that any flue-like symtpoms that that appear after 2 weeks of encounter and disaappear after 4 weeks of encoutner is strong sign of HIV ? Thank you again. I am getting crazy.
You interact with other people so sore throats and colds which swell lymph are to be expected. Reread the part about 40 because you are safe.
